AGULHAS | Experience the spectacular southernmost tip of Africa, where the majestic Indian and Atlantic oceans really meet. Built from natural limestone, and set against the hill, this Lodge harmoniously blends in with its surrounding fynbos landscape. The Agulhas Country Lodge has sweeping sea views from nearly every vantage point.
We have a maritime/aviation bar where there is a strong theme of shipwrecks. We serve exceptional cuisine with the emphasis on fresh fish and seafood accompanied by an outstanding wine list in the really romantic dining room. After dinner, cigars are served with cognac in the cigar lounge.
Eight luxurious spacious en suite bedrooms each have private balconies and most have breath taking sea views, two have jacuzzi baths. Each room is named after a shipwreck that sank around this dramatic coast line. All rooms have tea trays. We also have a fully equipped beauty salon with an in-house qualified therapist who offers aromatherapy, reflexology, waxing, massaging, facials and most other beauty therapies generally available.
Spend the day whale watching (July - December) or enjoy excellent bird watching. Take a hike along the "ghost trail" or the sea shore to the light house. Experience the unique coastal 4x4 safari along the Agulhas and Struisbaai coast in the Agulhas National Park.
